Today's my Birthday Tarp. Lol

My birthday would have been another so so day without the friends who care. I would like to thank Ginny (for the mala-tarp na greeting which was sent to everybody in Chevron) and Adabelles for the cute cat greeting:

And thanks to my boss, too (for the sumptuous dinner treat at Northpark ATC) :))

I love you guys! ♥♥♥

My Smart Alec :)

Last Sunday, I brought my kids with me to the talipapa. We bought some leafy veggies for lunch and passed by a soft ice cream stand. My three-year old daughter asked me if I could buy her one and she'll share it with her baby brother.

I said, "sensya na anak, walang money si mommy eh. Bawi na lang si mommy next time ha?".

She said, "ah ganun ba? Kawawa naman tayo, mommy".

We continued walking and were both silent for about a minute then she asked me again,

"Pero mommy, sa payday, pwede na??"

I was shocked at that term-- payday! How did Allison know about that???

Kids these days...

Then earlier this morning, I brought Allison to the talipapa again.  Was craving for daing na bangus for breakfast. So we went to one of the milkfish stands and I asked the manong to weigh a kilogram for me. Then my kid went hysterical and blurted out:

"Mommy, di mo ba alam na may fishkill ngayon???"

I was stunned. The were laughing.

What a bright kid! I am so proud of you Ate Aton! :))

Saving Mother Earth

My circle knows how fanatic I am with saving our dear Mother Earth.
My dad was once assigned in Puerto Princesa as the Division Manager/ Station Commander of the Philippine Ports Authority. That's why I was able to live for sometime in the beautiful main island of Palawan.

At my young age, daddy made me aware of the importance of biodiversity (yes, believe me!), clean air, clean water... stuff like that. When I was 4, he has already taught me how to sow and plant veggies and grow trees in the garden. At 5, he taught me about garbage segregation. When I was about 6 or 7 years old, he was already teaching me the implications of smoke belchers and carbon monoxide. So, I was very very aware of this cause. Very, very aware.:)

It always saddens me when I see people tossing their cigarette butts or candy wrappers or their smallest trash outside their car windows.  I become judgmental. I see them as arrogant and unconcerned earthlings. Lol

Let's start by signing here: http://no2mininginpalawan.com/

[The Save Palawan Movement launched the “No to Mining in Palawan” signature campaign on February 3 in the hope of putting an end to mining activities in Palawan, known as the Philippines’ Last Ecological Frontier. The campaign aims to raise ten million signatures to deliver a strong message to the Philippine and Palawan governments so that they would finally say no to mining in Palawan and help protect one of the Philippines’ last remaining treasures.]

My Birthday Wishlist

Here's my birthday wishlist. Well, still hopeful that the good heavens will hear my prayers. It's nearly impossible. But who knows? God unexpectedly answers prayers sometimes...

An Edger

A DVD player so Allison can enjoy her daily dose of Dora again... I'm such a loser, can't even afford to have our dvd's fixed. So here I am wishing for a DVD birthday gift. LOL

(A) guitar (s) for Allison to practice.

Cashing! for Allison's books... (Thank you, boss Jermaine for the P500 National Bookstore GC! and boss Kaloy for the P1000 Rob GC) But I need more! LOL!!

A Digital SLR! Dream on!
Whatever it is that will be in store for me on the 29th, I'll be happy for that. Most likely, there would be none. I will still be happy. As long as my healthy happy family's together, I'm good with that. :))
